A person involved in a violent domestic incident in Hyde Park left before police arrived. Using technology and information shared between agencies, police located the person in Beacon and took them into custody.

A man was seen removing his shoes and attempting to climb over the railing of the Walkway Over the Hudson. The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department and New York State Parks Police responded. DC AIR 9 arrived first and provided updates to officers until they reached the scene. The man was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.

Man with Gun and Knife Apprehended
A man with a gun and a knife was reported to be chasing a victim. Drone as a First Responder provided overwatch and arrived on scene with patrols. DCAIR9 provided overwatch as the suspect was stopped and placed into custody. A firearm was recovered.

Mother in Crisis Threatens Harm to Child
A father reported that the mother of his 1-year-old child threatened to kill her child and bury it on the grounds of a college campus. The known vehicle of the mother was searched in the ALPR system and identified traveling near Marist University. Information was shared and a patrol unit located the mother and child, who was unharmed, in under 7 minutes.

Multi-Agency Effort Leads to Seizure of Illegal Guns
Four individuals were arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Poughkeepsie that led to the recovery of three illegal loaded handguns, including one reported stolen, as well as a large quantity of cannabis. The vehicle was located with assistance from ARTCIC. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation, and all four individuals were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail following arraignment.

Supporting Safer Roads Around School Buses
A School Resource Officer with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reported a truck illegally passing a school bus carrying students. A photo of the truck was shared with ARTCIC, where investigators were able to identify the vehicle using specific descriptors captured in the image. The information was then provided to the School Resource Officer for follow-up investigation.

Information shared through ARTCIC helped police agencies coordinate after a vehicle connected to an individual wanted on felony charges was spotted in Wappingers Falls. Using shared technology tools, agencies were able to monitor the vehicle's movements in real time and coordinate a safe response. The individual was ultimately taken into custody without incident.

Real-Time Collaboration Leads to Quick Identification of Suspect
Information gathered by Flock was shared with law enforcement agencies across Dutchess County via ARTCIC regarding a vehicle connected to a theft at Dick's Sporting Goods in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Using this information, members of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office were able to quickly locate the vehicle at a nearby business, where the suspect was attempting to sell the stolen merchandise.

Flock Technology Supports Homicide Investigation and Prosecution
Robert Buda Jr., 35, pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the January 26, 2025 killings of his in-laws, Paul and Jo-Ann Hait, in their Wappinger home.
During the investigation, Flock Safety technology played a key role. Investigators were able to locate the vehicle Buda was driving, which directly supported his identification and led to his arrest later that evening in Hyde Park. Beyond the arrest, Flock data provided law enforcement and prosecutors with a clear timeline of Buda's movements to and from the scene, helping establish key details of the crime and strengthen the case.
Buda admitted to fatally shooting both victims and their family dog, attempting to conceal evidence, and setting the home on fire. Responding firefighters discovered the victims while battling the blaze, prompting an immediate multi-agency investigation. Upon his arrest, detectives recovered critical evidence from Buda's vehicle, including blood-stained clothing, a 9mm Sig Sauer, shell casings, and other items tied to the crime.
As part of a plea agreement, Buda faces consecutive sentences of 20 years to life for each murder, along with a concurrent 15-year sentence on the weapons charge. Sentencing is scheduled for June 10, 2026 in Dutchess County Court.
